UPDATE, 1:41: The Rays and Tigers are underway after the 31-minute delay.

UPDATE, 1:08: The rain is ending and the tarp coming off, with a tentative start time of 1:40 announced.

UPDATE, 1:02: The start of the game will be delayed due to rain coming through downtown Detroit.

UPDATE, 11:35; Cash said Ramos and Boxberger both came through their Saturday rehab appearances with Durham well, and remain on track to return this week. ... One key to Faria's success has been his composure on the mound, Cash said, another was how he used his slider against the Blue Jays.

DEVELOPING: After hanging on for a tense 3-2 win on Saturday, the Rays are looking to break even for their four-game series in Detroit.

Rookie RHP Jake Faria, impressive in his first two starts, will be on the mound for the Rays, with firsy pitch at 1:10. Faria worked 6 1/3 innings and allowed one run in beating the White Sox and Blue Jays.

The Tigers are starting RHP Buck Farmer, who won his first two starts after a late May callup with 13 scoreless innings but didn't get through third Tuesday vs. Diamondbacks, allowing six runs.
